Starting to be affected by the winter blues? Try infusing your home with natural revitalizing aromatic blends over the holidays.

Here are 3 simple mood-boosting recipes that will surely lift your spirits. All you need is a few inexpensive spices.

1. Revitalizing Citrus Blend

Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, then add

1 orange slice

1 lemon slice

1 lime slice

1 tablespoon pomegranate seeds

1 tablespoon lavender or 2 lavender sprigs

1 crystallized ginger piece

Simmer on low heat for 15 min

2. Calming Autumn Blend

Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, then add

3 cinnamon sticks

3-4 whole star anise

1 tablespoon chamomile

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1 teaspoon allspice

1 tablespoon licorice mulch

Simmer on low heat for 15 min

3. Rejuvenating Winter Breeze Blend

Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, then add

1 fir or pine twig

1 tablespoon licorice mulch

2 bay leaves

10 fresh mint or peppermint leaves

4 nutmeg seeds

Simmer on low heat for 15 min
